Loch
I am feeling very honoured as this painting has been selected for the Matariki Exhibition, to be held at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, 1 Queens Wharf, Wellington. The exhibition will run from Saturday 10th July - Sunday 1st August 2010.
This painting came about after seeing and admiring some friend's amazing photos of the Lochs in Scotland. The share beauty of the landscape beneath the almightly sky so inspired me to create this piece.
This piece has only two primary colours creating a depth that is simply striking. The roughness adds another dimension to the piece as a whole.
The canvas has been primed and finished with high standard materials to ensure painting is of a professional standard.
Flowering
I was equally as honoured when this painting was also selected for the Matariki Exhibition, to be held at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, 1 Queens Wharf, Wellington. The exhibition will run from Saturday 10th July - Sunday 1st August 2010.
This tree is amazing in that is doesn’t have any other trees to shelter it yet it stands tall, alive, and with elegance even in solitude.
This small painting is in honour of all trees no matter what man or the elements may throw at it.
The canvas has been primed and finished with quality materials to ensure painting is of a professional standard.
Harmony is now in print - limited edition
Harmony, a collaboration of two paintings Kerryn by Rosie Harper and Warm II by myself, was used to promote our exhibition at the Pixel Ink Gallery here in Wellington.
Everyone, including ourselves were so enamoured with the image, that we have produced this into limited edition prints. These prints are printed in high quality light fast inks on archival heavy paper and are ready for framing.
There will only be 20 prints available, signed by both artists with two being exhibited within the Pixel Ink Gallery. This is a little bit of history in the making..
